A spectacular Kuchi silver pectoral necklace from Afghanistan. It is made of interchained silver plaques ornated with glass cabochons and engraved decoration. The arrangement is further embellished with 32 silver rupee coins dated 1912 to 1926 from George V, king of England and emperor of the British Empire in India. The Kuchi people, from the Persian -koch- meaning migration, are Afghan pashtoons nomads divided in a number of tribes that inhabit areas of Afghanistan and, to a lesser extent, Pakistan. First half of the XXth century.
